Wine Tasting Trips

Come enjoy an excursion train ride on a restored classic streamlined stainless steel passenger train! Winery staff will be on the train to provide wine tastings in your complimentary wine glass you will receive upon boarding the train. Wine will also be for sale on the train. This train will stop in Watertown for lunch and shopping. You must be 21years old or older to ride this train. Please bring valid ID.

Nashville Mardi Gras Excursion Train

Come celebrate Mardi Gras with a Nashville twist. Party on a restored classic streamlined stainless steel passenger train while ridding through middle Tennessee! Featuring a Live Dixie Land Band on board. New Orleans Style Box Lunch from Smith’s Catering included in the ticket price. As well as a Cash Bar with Beer, Wine and Mardi Gras drinks on the train(credit cards accepted)!

Valenshines Moonshine Sippin' Excursion Train!

Don’t miss this exciting Valentines trip featuring Moonshine Sippin’ from Ole Smoky Moonshine! Also Grand Ole Opry Performer Buddy Jewell will be playing live on the train. Take a seat and relax and sip 6 different NEW samples of Ole Smoky Shine in your complimentary souvenir Mason Jar. A box lunch from Smith’s Catering included in the ticket price. Murder Mystery Train Rides

Come ride with us on a nostalgic trip to when times were simpler and not so hurried Tennessee Central Railway Museum’s classic traditional American streamlined passenger train will take you on a relaxing trip back to the 1950s, the Golden Era of American passenger train travel. However, some nefarious souls are planning murder most foul and you’ll be part of the action as the murder mystery unfolds right in your own car. Order your tickets soon.

Watertown Yard Sale Trips

Come ride on a restored classic streamlined stainless steel passenger train to the biggest yard sale in Middle Tennessee! Enjoy the scenery each spring and fall on the 90 mile round trip to one of Tennessee’s most popular multi-yard sales. There will be treasures of all kinds! Don’t forget to visit the local restaurants in historic downtown Watertown Tn. for lunch and shop the stores around the square. Order your tickets soon as this trip sells out quickly!

Fall Foliage Excursion

Come ride the Fall Foliage Excursion Train through the rolling hills of Tennessee! This trip will travel east out of Nashville along the Nashville and Eastern Railroad which was the former Tennessee Central Railway. This trip will not stop at a destination, however, a box lunch and drink will be included in the ticket price. There will also be beer and wine available for purchase on the train.

REGULAR SEATING


Our regular seating is dining car table seating with up to four seats at a table or in our regular seat coach cars. Windows up to 5 feet wide on both sides the car provide great views of the passing countryside.

COACH SEATING


Ride in comfort in our coach accommodations with spacious reclining seats and 5 foot wide windows on both sides of the car.

DOME SEATING


The ultimate panoramic view from our train is from the 20 seats in our ex-Northern Pacific Railway dome-coach car. You will ride in spacious cushioned seats in the glass-enclosed dome that is above the roofline of the rest of the train. Passengers have an unobstructed 360-degree view of the entire countryside. There are only 20 seats in the dome, so make your reservations extra early - these seats always sell out first!

Additional Trip Information

  • All trips and times are subject to change.

  • All seats are reserved.

  • Please consult seating charts when ordering tickets as some cars have seats that face in groups of four.

  • Children under 2 years old who do not require a seat may ride in a parent's lap at no charge.

  • Children 2 and older require a seat available at a reduced fare.

  • Children's tickets are available for Regular and Coach Class seats only.

  • The use of any tobacco product is prohibited on the train.

  • No food or drink may be brought onto the train.

  • Snacks, soft drinks, and souvenirs are available for sale on the train. Credit cards are accepted.

  • The trip runs rain or shine.

  • All sales are final on tickets; there are no refunds or exchanges.

  • The museum is not responsible for personal items brought on board or left on the train.

  • There is a moderate amount of walking to board the train and at the destination.

  • Boarding of the train is through stairs on the cars, going up five steps. In some cases, you may have to walk through several cars to reach your seat since our train is over 1000 feet in length.

  • Passengers who are mobility impaired should contact the museum prior to ordering tickets. Please email tickets@tcry.org or call 615-241-0436.

  • Passengers in wheelchairs or needing special assistance should email Terry Bebout at tickets@tcry.org prior to purchasing tickets.

  • No pets are allowed on the train.

  • Order tickets early - most trips sell out quickly.
